iChor Sports Team Wearable System

Virtual Design Group led an engineering team in a review of the iChor startup’s custom sports wearable device. Upon conclusion that completion of the custom device would require more capital than available to the company our team created a turnaround plan which included purchasing off the shelf Fitbit bands for wearable data acquisition, and building out a fully featured back end system for for reporting to coaches and athletic directors.

The system included a number of unique reporting features, such as auto-alignment of workouts allowing a side by side comparison of athlete performance without relying upon clock settings of the capture or data aggregation devices which varied significantly.
