CollectorDash Marketplace and Community

Virtual Design Group partners built a complete engineering team and took a “Long Tail Community” and built it out into a fully functioning generic site for both collectors to exchange information about the products they own but also included a full e-commerce site, for both standard storefront and auction sales. At one point sales were over $1M per month.  Native iOS and Android applications allowed collectors to carry a digital copy of their collection and values with them wherever they went without regard to network connectivity.

One of the unique aspects of the web product was that it was designed from the outset to be generic and product category independent. The system was launched with Model Trains and Action Figures, and over time included a number of other collectables, including white label licenses of the entire platform.
